Diana "Carolina" Martinez serves as the Administrative Assistant II for Empower Change. She has experience in planning and coordinating community outreach events, providing administrative support and serving as a program liaison. She is also a Sociology graduate student at UTEP and earned her B.A. in Sociology from UTEP. Carolina served in the Army National Guard for 6 years and worked as a case manager with the homeless veteran population in southern New Jersey and southern California. Her research interests are gender inequality, global health policy, U.S. immigration policy as it pertains to mental health outcomes and veteran homelessness.
